Statistics: Russia’s CPI at 0.2% Sep 1–Mon, 10% from January 1
MOSCOW, Sep 9 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation index (CPI) amounted to 0.2% in the period from September 1 through Monday, for a second straight week, and stood at 10% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report Wednesday.
Cucumbers and sunflower oil prices were the growth leaders with a 5.4% and 1% increase respectively in the reported period.
Pork, eggs, sugar, heat-treated milk and sour cream became 0.1–0.5% pricier.
Onion prices fell 4%, carrot 6.2%, potato 5.1%, cabbage 1.6%.
Car gasoline prices rose 0.2%.
Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said earlier that inflation will likely stand at 11.9% in 2015.
